The DAC sample has a small volume (on the order of 10-3 to 10-6mm3), and the higher the chamber pressure, the smaller the sample, which cannot meet the requirements of neutron scattering technology for sample volume (the size of single crystal samples reaches the order of 1mm3, and the size of powder samples reaches the order of 100mm3). To solve this problem, the side wide angle high-pressure press can expand the sample size to the range of 30-100mm3, corresponding to a pressure of 15-40GPa (depending on the selection of the anvil surface area), and solve the problem of DAC being difficult to combine with neutron scattering technology. Therefore, the operation is extremely simple and has been applied in various high-pressure synthesis testing techniques.
This type of press can be matched with different pump stations to achieve precise or rapid pressure control.
This type of press can meet different working conditions and achieve low-temperature or high-temperature testing environments.
Among them, the most distinctive feature is the combination of the design of the side wide-angle high-pressure press and the rotating shear device. Not only does it achieve all-round observation of the sample by rotating the sample chamber, but it also controls the rotation of a single or two top hammer heads to test the torsional shear performance of the sample under high pressure.
